this was a birthday cake with as many irish cream (and irish cream complementary) elements as possible. i had planned it for someone who adores baileys, so i tried to make each element either with irish cream or irish cream adjacent. there were five elements overall, with a baileys irish cream cake, an irish cream glaze on each layer, a baileys coffee buttercream, a baileys whipped dark chocolate ganache, and a butterscotch sauce drip. each cake was layered with a buttercream and ganache filling, and then decorated in buttercream, a drip of butterscotch, and pecans on the sides and top, with the ganache.
